When I was a kid, my grandfather used to take me there. I used to play on the swings and run around. At 6.00PM everyday, the small building ( something like a small tower) in the center of the park used to broadcast the news from Radio. People used to sit around and lsiten to the news and disperse for the day.

For some odd resaon, this was one of the cleanest places those days. It was fun sitting on the bench in the evening along with friends and time the Madras-Howrah mail everyday ! :)

I vividly remember Ichapuram and my childhood there. Can somebody post current pictures of that town (Junior College, Bus Stand, etc)on Google ? Thanks !

Over teh past few years, I have been working some of the world's largest companies in the USA. However, when I look back and remember my childhood, I still feel Labala Dharma Sahu was truly a great enterpreneur and business person. I know him personally. Probably in his time, his businesses were very well diversified ( he knows risk management well ) and thriving. Eventhough he was not literate, he used to run his businesses well. A great man indeed.
